Live music is part of the culture of Dripping Springs; on the outskirts of town is the Nutty Brown Café which hosts many big-name music acts. Shopping, movies and dining are a short drive away to the Hill Country Galleria and Whole Foods Market in Bee Cave.
Texas Hill Country offers many outdoor activities. For hiking and enjoying nature there is Pedernales State Park and the 50-foot natural waterfall of Hamilton Pool. Lake Travis offers boating, fishing and swimming for those who enjoy the water.

Dripping Springs ISD serves students of the community. Pre-kindergarten through 5th grade students attend Rooster Springs, Dripping Springs or Walnut Springs Elementary.
